Wu Gang


Wu Gang is an actor in August First Film Studio born on November 4, 1960 in Qingdao, Shandong Province and graduated from the Department of Theatre of Peoples Liberation Army Arts College.

In 1984, Wu Gang’s made his debut in Camel Grass and Black Dragonfly. In 1986, he starred in the legionary teleplay Fare Well, Women. He played as Wu Sangui in film Never Ending Summer in 1991. A decade later, Wu Gang and Du Yulu starred in the political drama Secretary of Provincial Party. In 2003, together with Cong Shan and Zhang Zijian, he starred in the drama which adapted from Liu Jianwei’s novel Heroic Age. Two years later, he again participated in a military teleplay I Am Waiting for You in the Heavenwith Luo Haiqiong . In 2008, together with Yue Hong and Hou Yong, Wu Gang starred in the Frightening Moment which is about WenChuan Earthquake. In 2009, he took part in Wolf Smoke. A year later, he had a character in Zhang Guoqing’s first city comedy film Unbeatable House Sales Team. In 2012, he acted as the ever-victorious general Ma Derui in A Mysterious Bullet. In 2014, Wu Gang performed as the Secretary of Defensein the American science fiction film Transformers: Age of Extinction.
